Dallas landscaping in January is like Forrest Gump’s box of chocolates; you never know what you’re going to get!
At the end of December we had spring irises blooming in the park and then on New Year’s Eve came the big winter punch in the gardener’s gut.
However, Erica Knight’s hardy plantings and festive Christmas decorations survived the deep freeze. The long driveway at 3312 is lined with Italian Cypress anchored by a large stand of pampess grass. Large yucca’s, river rocks and well place boulders finish the Texas friendly heat/drought (and obviously cold) tolerant landscape.
Erica chose a red poinsettia theme for Christmas with wreaths and pots all around the exterior. The lovely second floor balcony looks like the perfect place to spend a sunny winter afternoon!
