Yard of the Month at 3119 Bryan Street
As I am writing this column there are 2 inches of snow on the ground. Very few yards look good this time of year.
One exception is 3119 Bryan St., near Skiles. Dan Warren and Jon Morehouse have made their front porch and small front yard colorful. The front yard has a mix of Kale, Pansies, Cyclamens, Carnations, and Purple Pin Cushions.
Last year Dan did some exterior updating. He had the house trim painted black (in consultation with local designer Kitty Lewis) and completely replaced the hardscape, creating a stacked stone bed for seasonal plants. On the front porch Dan and Jon have four Sapphire Cyprus trees planted in beautiful teal ceramic pots. The trees are lit with tiny white lights at night, making them a little bit magical. Please walk by and appreciate Dan’s work to make Bryan Place more beautiful.
