Open garages are a continuing target in our neighborhood.
On March 28, a perpetrator entered an open garage on Bryan Street and took a number of tools. Fortunately, a neighbor saw the thieft and called 911 with a description of the man. Police were able to locate the suspect and arrest him a few blocks away. The stolen tools were recovered. Our neighborhood patrol officer reports that he continues to see a number of open garages when he patrols through the neighborhood. Please remember to close
the garage door when you’re inside and when you leave, even if you intend to be gone only a short time.
It only takes a few minutes for property to disappear. Don’t hesitate to call 911 if you see someone suspicious or something unusual happening.
