In August East Dallas got a not so gentle reminder of a problem discussed at the spring Bryan Place general meeting when a flash flood hit the area leaving streets like Bryan several inches under water.
This supports a recommendation suggested at the general meeting to turn out and support the upcoming bond program. It will include $215 million to alleviate the flooding in the East Dallas areas near Bryan Place. A future bond program will need another $100 million to alleviate the flooding up into the “M” streets and the current proposed flood control improvements will be big enough
to handle the water from the area up to Mockingbird as well as the water in our area.
