The unusual and unfortunate cutting of the red tip photinias that line Pavilion near Bryan Street was brought to the board’s attention at the beginning of the month.
The landscaping crew hired by the Bryan Place Neighborhood Association is not responsible for the unsightly trimming because it is the adjacent landowner’s responsibility.
It was reported that the city of Dallas sent a crew out to trim them back as not to obstruct the view down the street. These hearty trees or shrubs will likely blossom again in the spring. On a related note, a proposal
to update the flower bed at the intersection, which is maintained by Bryan Place is being discussed.
