A large number of volunteers attended the Exall Park springtime spruce up on March 29th. The neighborhood had over 30 volunteers, including several new residents. The Recreation Center supplied an additional 20 volunteers, making this the largest cleanup day in years.
Participants added new plantings to the park, cleaned up many flowering beds, spread lots of mulch, and finished with some small painting jobs.
Afterwards, Wayne Smith thanked the participants on behalf of the Friends of Exall Park, and the Hickman/Weber Real Estate Group sponsored a delicious lunch prepared by “The Hamburger Man”.
It was a very successful park clean up and planting, and the City of Dallas was very proud of the results.
The event was organized by the Friends of Exall Park, who also provided tools, materials, and plantings. The Friends donate their time and money in their efforts to beautify the park, and encourage everyone in the neighborhood to participate in any capacity.
