Many of you have be anticipating the big City Lights project across from the Latino Cultural Center for 10+ years. Now there appears to be some
movement at last. Steve Gregory, of Gregory Interests, met with some Board members on December 18. Mr. Gregory is developing the retail portion of
the project in partnership with Malouf Interests, the overall project developer.
In recent weeks, Malouf Interests has bought all interests in the remaining three tracks of land as well as the former alley which divided one of the
tracks. Now that ownership is consolidated, they are ready to proceed with the project.
The meeting with Board members was to determine the concerns and hopes of Bryan Place for the space. While there are no specific drawings for the
project available as yet, Mr. Gregory is planning for around 12,000 sq. ft. of retail space facing Live Oak. The Board will continue to monitor progress
and communicate with the developer so that the project is both successful for the developer as well as an enhancement to life in Bryan Place.
