There have been several parking issues sent to the neighborhood board in recent weeks from illegally parked cars to problems with businesses new to the neighborhood. The board does not regulate parking rules on public streets, however, we do try to encourage residents to be considerate to other neighbors. The alternative is to petition for no parking zones and contact police when vehicles are parked illegally.
Thus far, the board has done neither. Which is why we are stressing the importance in our newsletter each month to be respectful when parking in our neighborhood.
We will meet with our new business neighbor, Joyce and Gigi’s Kitchen, to try and come to a resolution with the parking problem being created along Hall Street and San Jacinto. Steps are being taken to handle to the overflow and valet parking to the restaurant.
Most neighbors are excited about the addition of the businesses to Bryan Place. But with growth, traffic can become a problem.
