Several volunteers showed up last month to help spruce up the underpass at Central Expressway and Ross Avenue, the
Gateway To The Arts District.
Not only were there Bryan Place residents, but helping hands from neighboring apartment communities.
Kay Kallos from the City of Dallas came to give an update on the public arts project which is a few months behind.
She explained that agreements have been made for providing power to the lit art project between TxDOT and the City Of Dallas. A few more details must be worked out and it will go before the city council for final approval.
WFAA camera crews also showed up to include the clean up effort in part of segment on the City of Dallas’ Operation Beautification event that took place May 19.
Thank you again to all who came out to support this great effort. In time, this will truly be the great Gateway To the Arts District we’ve all envisioned.
