Have you ever thought about getting involved in your neighborhood but you didn’t feel confident enough in you knowledge of how to get involved. Well, the Dallas Homeowners League is sponsoring a bootcamp just for you.
The 17th Annual Dallas Homeowners League (DHL) Bootcamp will take place on August 15 from 8:15 am to 1pm at Dallas City Hall. The theme of this year’s Bootcamp is “The Return of the City and what Dallas neighborhoods need to do in today’s changing urban environment.” This concept will be explored both in this year’s sessions and opening address. The opening address sponsors a panel discussion featuring local developer (Monte Anderson), urban planner (Patrick Kennedy), housing expert (Mercedes Marquis), and D Magazine proprietor Wick Allison. The panel will be moderated by Dallas Morning News’ Robert Wilonsky. Following the opening session, you can select any two of the following educational sessions:

Registration for the event is just $10 per person. Registration begins at 8:15 am and the program beings at 9:00 am and ends at 1pm. Breakfast and coffee will be provided.
