The Gateway committee has been working on ideas to spruce up the Ross Avenue underpass since the first phase of the project was completed back in the spring. There were ideas floating around about murals and we believe an artist has been selected to spearhead the first ones. If all goes as planned, you should see a wonderful design representing the essence of the Arts District coming soon.
Unfortunately, our underpass seems to be the target of taggers who want choose to display unwanted graffiti and costing tax payers when the city has to paint over it. Hopefully the mural ideal will curtail some or all of this activity.
