One of our neighbors wrote the following:
“In recent years, the Newsletter has primarily reminded everyone to “park friendly.” Those who are parking improperly seem to not realize their parking is unfriendly to others. Many years ago, Newsletter articles were very specific about the private streets and cul‐de‐sacs being designed to allow for access to, and maneuvering in and out of, driveways. They were not designed for parking and residents were encouraged to park guests and additional vehicles on the main public street.
Since fire trucks, ambulances, etc. are wider than cars, the private streets need to be kept clear for their immediate access should an emergency arise. Additionally, sometimes cars park in front of the house where Hall Street dead ends at San Jacinto. Cars parked there are parked in an intersection and impede traffic on San Jacinto. Also, when cars are parked there, a large emergency vehicle could not get around the corner from Hall Street onto San Jacinto. “
