Gary Collins moved to the neighborhood in 2002 from Carrolton. He graduated from University of Houston with a pharmacy degree in 1969. He served in the U.S. Public Health Service from 1969 to 1982 as a pharmacy officer in the Bureau of Medical Services, National Institutes of Health, and the Food and Drug Administration. He was the pharmacy director at Baylor University Medical Center for 12 years. He also served as a Vice President in a pharmacy consulting company, as the Chief Pharmacist for VA North Texas, and as the Associate Dean for Experiential programs for Texas Tech School of Pharmacy during his career. He retired in 2013.
His hobbies include wood carving, crossâstitch, computers, and travel. He currently serves on the board of the Dallas Homeowners League.
