There have been several recent incidents of vandalism and one report of bullying at the pool clubhouse at 3030 Adolph.
The Bryan Place Swimming Pool Association would like to remind its members that items inside the clubhouse belong to everyone, and should be treated with the same respect as your own personal property.
Someone broke the lid to the kitchen garbage can and busted the locked cover for the thermostat. The heater ran unmonitored for days which resulted in unnecessary utility costs. The custodian for the BPSPA has also reported the uncleanliness of the clubhouse lately, saying it is taking him more time to clean up now than in the past.
The bullying report involved a 17-year-old son of a pool member and several men between 25 and 35 years old. The disagreement centered over the use of the big-screen television in the pool clubhouse. It was reported that cussing, lewd remarks and other inappropriate behavior were involved in this bullying incident.
Individual pool memberships can be revoked for such behavior, per the BPSPA by-laws. The BPSPA board will not tolerate any disrespectful actions on the part of individual association members. In addition, excessive drinking and use of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited while on pool property. The by-laws also state that any guests must be accompanied by a pool member at all times when either are at the pool or using the clubhouse.
